The L&SE white-water training weekend is always fantastic fun regardless of weather, with lots of clubs bringing first-timers and seasoned veterans to try out or show off their white-water paddling skills. The whole point of the weekend is to get together in a friendly environment (people and water) and have some fun. There are also numerous club coaches and top paddlers attending who should be eminently approachable for advice and a chat. |

Trent-Tummy and the little known medicinal properties of Coca-Cola The only real hazard on the weekend course is the water quality which can be somewhat poor at times. The problem of 'Trent Tummy' is well known through National protests (and individual experiences) so read the advice posted at the centre ... (drinking cans of coke throughout the weekend seem to help some people). |
