John O'Neil, Non Executive Director

John ONeil has been a Kalahari shareholder for a number of years.  

Between 1978 and 1990, John was an Executive Director at Exco International.   Exco International was formed with the merger of two City broking firms, namely Astley & Pearce and Godsell & Co. Ltd.  Prior to the merger, John was Managing Director at Godsell & Co. from 1974.  In 1981, Exco International was floated on the London Stock Exchange and went on to become the largest money broking company in the world during this period.

In 1988, he became Non Executive Chairman of Silvermines Group PLC which, in 1990 until 2003, led to the role of Executive Chairman.  Silvermines Group was a specialist Irish venture capital company involved in property, oil exploration and engineering. It was quoted on the Irish and UK stock markets until it was taken over in the mid 90`s.

As well as Kalahari, John is also Non Executive Director of TFM Networks a specialist IT company.
