This is women empowerment programme where after one year at least 30 poor girls and women who could not get education due to their poverty or some other reasons are trained to earn independently with dignity. These women are trained to have different skills like sewing, cutting, knitting, embroidery, glass painting, tile painting, sand painting and computer etc. It was observed that poor women of the country when go to the houses of rich they are accused of theft or something else. There were many women in jails and it was very difficult for their familes to fight for them due to their poverty. CAP decided to start some programme to empower our womenfolk in a way they may earn with pride and dignity in their own homes. So, taking a typical character TABITHA from the Bible, Act Chapter 9 we opened a small sewing center for women in the year 2003 and some 10 women and girls were registered. With the passage of time, this project made progress and now we enroll 30 trainees for one year training and after they complete their training a certificate and a gift of Sewing Machine is given so that the graduates may continue the work in their houses. It has been observed that these trainees are now playing effective role in their family economy. We are always in pressure to register more and more trainees but due to our calculated budget we are restricted to enroll very limited students. However, keeping in view the importance and need, the CAP management has opened another branch of Tabitha Sewing Centre at Khaliq Nagar, where another group of 15 trainees has been registered. Women make more than half of the total participation, so there is need to expand the work among women. We would encourage friends, individuals and ministries to come forward to have partnership with CAP to strengthen to Lord's work in this part of the world.
